Tudo bem! (responding to above): Everything's well!
Bom dia: Good morning
Boa tarde: Good afternoon.

Obrigada: Thank you (add 'muito' for very much)
Com licensa: excuse me
Desculpa: Sorry
Sim/não: Yes/No
Onde é....?: Where is the....
Você fala inglês?: Do you speak English?
Desculpa, não falo português: Sorry, I don't speak Portuguese.
Prazer em conhecê-lo: I am pleased to meet you.
Não entendo: I don't understand.
Entende?: Do you understand?
Entendo se falar devagar: I understand if you speak slowly.
